From my understanding it will be difficult for me to get a de facto visa as we have never lived together. Wrong! and a skills assessment is not required to work as a teacher in Australia.

I have not heard of anyone with an Australian passport and who did not have outstanding police or court matters having a problem.

The rules recently changed. Either parent can apply for a passport.
