  1. Have you obtained sponsorship from NSW? If not, you should be aware that states will often decline sponsorship to someone already in another state.
  2. I don't see your issue. Given that skilled visas such as 187 or 186 often take nearly the same length of time and that partners may be arriving with no skills - if they have skills then a skilled visa would be a better option. Then it is understandable that priority of processing is what it is. There are visas with far longer processing times. For example, parent visas are over five years. Last remaining relative visas are 56 years. That isn't a typo fifty six years.
  3. The employer could claim that the visa was obtained by fraud and on that basis the department can cancel.
  4. My advice above stands. You need to speak to a specialist migration agent such as George Lombard
  5. Has the state you are applying to got any minimum points standards for the occupation?
  6. You need to use a good agent for this application. Your case is obviously far from simple. Any of the agents that post regularly on the forum are excellent

Be aware though that if relying on a UK pension, the amount will be frozen. So, no increases.
  8. Probably, realistically not. Even company sponsored visas which might process quicker (sometimes), by the time you factor in the processing time of finding a job, going through interviews, reference checks and an offer (assuming they are even willing to sponsor, which now many co panics aren't as it has become very time consuming and expensive) would probably be at least as long and only result in a temporary visa which could see you having to leave shortly after.
  9. First, Sydney isn't the only place in NSW. If the laid back lifestyle is what you want, be very sure it exists. I wouldn't say Oz is a laid back lifestyle more than anywhere else. Far from it given that on general people work more. Regarding getting NSW sponsorship and going to Brisbane, I would not recommend as states are now clamping down on this and they have the ability to claim visa fraud to the department which can result in visas being cancelled.
  10. Will just chip in and say if you had to sell after being back in the UK it is fairly painless. We sold our house after moving back and it just needs a trip to Australia House in London to get the documents stamped.
  11. If you do a search on the site for wrussel or Raul or Go Matilda you will find the details for three of the most highly regarded.
  12. A skills assessment for early years teacher will require 4 years of university education. Usually for Brits, a degree and post grad.
  13. Alan is the managing director of Go Matilda, one of the largest and best known migration agents.
  14. You should never seek advice from immigration as the advice is usually wrong. They have a legal indemnity for giving incorrect advice and the response you will get is that you should have consulted your agent.
  15. Providing all fines are paid, unlikely, though you may get asked to write a statement about it.
  16. I would strongly recommend you speak to a good registered migration agent.
  17. If you have animals, then get this started early. There is no quarantine coming to the UK as long as you go through the process while in Oz, but I recommend getting them involved early. You should be aware it is t cheap. It depends on size. But as an example. In 2016, my chihuahua was $3000.
  18. If you have a positive skills assessment, then you should be able to apply for a PR visa. Getting a job without a degree though may be the challenge.
  19. Most of us who have been around the forums for a while are amazed it is an occupation still on the list (it has been flagged for removal repeatadly) and is now at the point that the joke is what's the quickest way to get a accountant? Call a taxi.
  20. I could be confused, but, a 804 is only available to parents of PR holders, so not sure how she could even apply for it.
  21. Have you looked at the (very limited ) job opportunities in the NT for this occupation?
  22. No. Only post qualification counts. Hence, you are looking at a lot of years.
  23. Start job hunting. Decide on what items you are shipping and arange shippers If bringing any pets, arrange the paperwork / jabs Arrange accommodation for arrival. Sell what ever you aren't shipping / sell house, though the sale can actually be completed after the move. Buy plane tickets Move.
