  1. You are rep, yang to a post two years old
  2. IT is very hard to say as it varies a lot depending on the occupation, country of origin, the history of the employer, the skills of the applicant. As a result I have seen it vary between a matter of days to a year or more.
  3. No, if you want to use a professional, then you should use a registered migration agent. There are a number of excellent ones that post on the forum. If you want to tell us a bit more about yourself, we can probably help more.
  4. Given your case is going to be far from straight forward - Australia likes formal qualifications, but, there can be ways round - sometimes. I would strongly recommend using a registered migration agent
  5. In your situation, I would strongly recommend using an agent.
  6. You should start th process early as it is a long process and can take a very long time depending on rabies tests. We have had members fall fould of this. So get going with Bob now. It may seem a long time away, but in the pet shipping world, not long at all. There are other threads about snub nosed and if you use the search function, there are a fair few. Generally, some airlines will refuse to fly them due to risks with doing so. Others will provide limits on when they can fly. So,magazines, planning early is important.
  7. It depends on which visa you apply for. If your occupation is on the long term list then you may be eligible to apply for a 189, which allows you to live and work anywhere. Otherwise, you would be looking at a state sponsored 190 / 489, which would require you to live and work in that state
  8. The biggest step would have been appointing a good migration agent. Do not underestimate the departments happiness to take your money and refuse a visa - no refund. The cost of an agent is a tiny drop in the ocean in most visas. In this particular one, a molecule
  9. There are marketing roles available for skilled migration, it will likely depend on the exact nature and if you can pass a skills assessment. You need to do a lot of reading in homeaffairs.gov.au and the associated sites for skills assessors. Start with the skilled occupation lists and then go from there. As a general note, your occupation still has to be on the lists to be eligible for any skilled visa including sponsored, which is usually only temporary anyway. Very few working holiday visa holders manage to turn it into something long term.
  10. You normally have to make a first visit within 12 months of the medical or police check. However, that doesn't have to be the actual move, you have up to five years from grant for that.
  11. Yes. With out a doubt. There are a number of excellent agents that post on the forum regularly
  12. The general advice is that if ever there is a medical issue, it is worth speaking to a specialist agent such as George Lombard
  13. Hi Alan Thank you again on behalf of the forum. Could this be made up by a couples joint income sponsoring one of the couples parents or mypust it be from the one?
  14. You need to look at the skilled occupation list at homeaffairs.gov.au and then look at the skills assessment requirements. If your qualifications are uncertain, I would strongly recommend you consult a registered migration agent.
  15. Correct, though the OP may be not not counting the sponsorship points.
  16. If the company ABN has changed, then it is likely you would need a new application.
  17. Do not do them yet. There only valid for 12 months and spouse visas are taking 1-2 years. The case officer will contact you towards the end of processing to request them and that is when you do them
  18. I am going to chip in and say in a case like yours I would definitely use Pet Air as they aren't just shippers, they are ran by vets. You can chat with Bob, who is the managing director on the forum.
  19. In your circumstances, only the main applicant would need to meet the work criteria. You would need to research the availability of jobs in the regional area compared to having the availability of the entire state. To be careful with the plans for your child as it is possible in this situation they are deemed an international student which would mean they would not qualify for financial awards to study.
  20. Then it is possible this doesn't meet his skills and he could fail the assessment. Have you taken professional advice on this?
  21. You need a skills assessment. You need to calculate points. You need to see if you need an English exam
  22. Have you looked at the skills assessment requirements? Most occupations require a number of years post qualification experience. Hence, most students have to leave at the end of their course
  23. And if you are made redundant tomorrow? Or, your occupation is removed tomorrow ?- the department removed over 200 occupations in the most recent changes and more big cuts are expected
