  1. I think your budget is way too small. To give you an example, I sold a Hyundai Getz nearly three years ago for that amount that needed a fair bit of work doing to it and was 12 years old.

    Dog friendly?

Have to say, we do find the UK much more dog friendly. We have a newish posh cafe opened in town that sums it up with a sign they have. "Dogs welcome, their humans tolerated"
  3. The way around is to contact individual universities to see if they are willing to waive it for domestic fees. We have had members succeed in this.
  4. Yes, that's fine. I worked international between my application and citizenship.
  5. Just going to throw this into the mix. I agree, Burnley isn't somewhere I would want to go. I travel the length of the U.K. with work, and it is one of the few places I would be happy to move to. But, you only need to go a tiny distance to haveba totally different life.
  6. It is because not every occupation requires a skills assessment for a 482. Some do and some don't, if your husbands does, then it is the requirements of the skills assessment that matters. The reason people still apply for a 482, is because not everyone eligible for a 482 is eligible for another visa. For example, if it is only on the short term list, then that rules out 189. A 190 would require state sponsorship and the state's may not be sponsoring that occupation or apply further requirements, for example WA will only sponsor most occupations if the applicant has studied there.
  7. There is no visa for sibling and family can not just sponsor someone. It doesn't work like that. However, your occupation may be eligible for a skilled visa.Skilled visas are the main way people migrate. If you contact one of the regular agents on here such as wrussel they will do an initial assessment for free of your prospects.
  8. Unfortunately it will only be experience gained after you graduate. I know that may disappoint, but emigrating is massively expensive, so look on it as a chance to save some cash.
  9. Yes, but keep very detailed records
  10. I also recommend you speak to Raul or wrussel. In theory, it is possible but carries some big risks. The big one being that if you were to go on a tourist visa, if immigration realised what was going on when you land, they will deny entry. This fm also result in a ban on reapplying for a visa. Then, when you apply for the 187, a bridging visa would be automatically granted. But, with the same rights as the visa you were on - so no work rights. You can apply to have that changed, but there would be no guarantee. Lastly, it is important you understand the 187. It has a obligation to work for the sponsor for at least two years and we do see instances on the forum of employers exploiting that
  11. Delaying police and medicals DOES NOT delay things at all. You can lodge them on application day of submission, but they aren't looked at till 28 days from when they would have been requested.
  12. Potentially, but it would be a struggle as one of the obstacles is that you would probably need a electrical license. These are issued by the state and even electricians can find it a pain - it will mean you working as a trade assistant for a while. - usually about a year (a bit like an apprentice) and undertaking some college courses. If your visa is a 482 temporary visa, this can be a further issue as partners on 482 can find it harder to get work as they are only in the country temporary and the length of time isn't up to them as if the main holder loses there job, they all have to leave. Also, the college courses would be a lot more expensive as fees would be for an international student.
  13. No, there are normally no medicals for working holiday visas. But, be aware many Australian employers do screen routinely as part of pre employment check. Do not even consider taking any with you. You are likely to fly via a country where even a tiny amount carries significant jail time.

    Family Visa

What is your occupation/ what are your qualifications?

    Family Visa

Processing time is 56 years, with potentially no work rights, no access to state befits, inc, using pension and only reciprocal health. Oh, and it may be one of the visa canned retrospective.
  16. We spent eight years in an area classed as regional, albeit on 50km from Perth. What we found was that other than trades, jobs were very thin on the ground, what jobs they were, were generally service industry, minimum wage and part time. Also, the reality is, most migrants are younger and want what the big cities have to offer, the restaurants, bars, theatre and lots of variety. Many have young children and want good schools and the availability of those tends to be in the cities.

    NHS number

You are entitled to NHS treatment immediately on return as long as you are resident. Basically, they will ask you for some evidence such as lease document for where you live or proof of working. It Goulding be difficult.
  18. You are aware that a 482 is a temp visa which may not result in anything more. If you were unable to gain PR later, you would either have to leav the country or apply for a partner visa. A partner visa is a LOT more expensive than being included in your partners PR.
