  1. What happens if one of them tests positive? Do they extend the stay? Is the price fixed, or is there potential for it to go up if they have an extended stay?
  2. What state are you in again?
  3. Nope. Some cards do have one. Usually the ones with benefits, like free travel insurance. But ours is free.
  4. I can pay money into my super fund (an Aussie living in the UK), but there is no benefit for doing so.
  5. The number of years you need in the UK is person specific. You only really know how many years you need by contacting the department of work and pensions. I'm fully paid up and I have much less than 35 years.
  6. I've twice bought expensive things which never arrived and got my money back because I used a credit card. I'm not sure you get that guarantee with a debit card.
  7. I haven't used cash for over a year now. Many places in the UK won't take cash because of the pandemic. I haven't paid interest on a credit card in over ten years.
  8. It's hard work, but the results can be fantastic.
  9. I agree and have read about a possible connection to the pill. There seems to be much speculation as to what is the cause and even if there is a link. Hopefully they can isolate risk groups/factors pretty soon.
  10. There's an interesting article which suggests it may be that the vaccine made its way directly into the bloodstream, which caused a much more servere reaction. Would it be safer if they gave it in the bum? I remember they used to give many injections in the bum. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-04-astrazeneca-jab-linger.amp&ved=2ahUKEwi72uiY2ebvAhWQg_0HHTh1CowQFjAAegQIAxAC&usg=AOvVaw2PewsJ22bwAXbgmwB2y2Rv&ampcf=1
  11. Do you have an attachment especially for patios? Ours has one, it is round, about thirty cm in diameter. I found it really makes the job much easier. Try and find one if you don't have one.
  12. I recently read an article which suggested the clotting was caused by the anti bodies these people created, and as such it was person specific and not vaccine specific. The article seemed to imply that if these people had any vaccine, or in fact caught covid, they were at high risk of clotting. We know already that covid can have a strange effect on the blood. There have been several cases of young people clotting and having strokes from covid. Maybe if they can identify the risk group these people can be vaccinated under observation.
  13. Don't Australia and New Zealand offer visas for wealthy people? I thought Australia offered one where you can purchase a business?
  14. Is meat better? You have GM, antibiotics and hormones versus horsemeat and BSE. I think both countries have some improvement due.
  15. It will certainly improve the air quality in our cities.
  16. urticaria? That's hives?
  17. We seem to be getting drier springs and summers and much wetter winters.
  18. I remember having the conversation with the Coles store manager in Perth. I had two kids under two, and they put the parent child parking on a hill, with no brakes on the trolleys. I asked him which child I should send thundering down the hill with the shopping? He seemed unable to choose.
  19. You can't really expect Australia to do everything better than every other country in the world. Likewise, Australia could look at what it doesn't do better, and copy other countries.
  20. UK is 30 clots with seven deaths after 18 million doses. Possibly because the EU originally only gave it to younger people.
  21. I guess the big question is whether they died from the vaccine or with the vaccine.
  22. Card making is popular too. My parents both make cards. That is one thing you will struggle to find in Perth shops, decent cards at affordable prices.
  23. I don't think so. Each site seems to do one sort of vaccine. You are given a list of sites when you book. I could have chosen either AZ or Pfister, if I knew which site did which jab, which I did. AZ was closer. My MIL (82) was given an appointment at an AZ site. Mainly because it is close. I don't think the NHS favours one over the other. They are just interested in getting shots in arms. Seems to be working. Only ten dead today. Hospital patients and cases both in 3000's. Everything moving in the right direction.
