  1. Hi,

Dutchmaster Did you contact them may be send an email so that they may chase up your file !!!!!!!

Just came off the phone with immigration and they are no longer checking the status of an application meaning that they will not check if an CO has been assigned. (or even look at the case)

When I mentioned that I have been waiting for over 9 Months and that this is way passed their processing standard, I was told that the advise processing time only start when your case has been assigned an CO.

So my 9 months wait doesn't even register at DIAC. only if I get an CO and he/she takes over 8 months to action the application, then I would be outside their standards.

    Anyway very unhelpful.:arghh:

  2. 1700 cases from Parramatta have been redistributed to Melbourne & Perth at random (Yeah Right!) only way to find out is when you get your case officer.

19th of June my application was lodged at Parramatta and since yesterday they have stated that all RSMS application has been allocated, yet I do not have an CO or any correspondence advising so, I believe that my case now is in Perth.

Questions is did they put the case at the back of the line or in the correct spot when relocating it?

    Blossom, anyone...........

  3. Hi all,

    Look at Parramatta!!!

Applications declared as “Decision Ready” by registered migration agents continue to receive priority allocation. However, due to the unprecedented number of applications lodged in June 2012 we can not provide an estimated allocation timeframe.

If your application was lodged before the dates listed above please explain this in your email and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

We are working through our large caseload in the most efficient manner possible and thank you for your patience during this busy period.

    Post 1 July 2012 Applications

Due to the large volume of applications lodged before 1 July 2012 our current allocation of e-lodged cases is limited.

At the moment our system is not readily identifying applications declared as “Decision Ready” by a registered migration agent. As an interim measure we suggest that you send an email to the relevant processing office mailbox advising that the application is decision ready with the TRN number highlighted in the subject line. Please ensure that the application is decision ready.

    Attachments for e-lodged applications

We appreciate that there have been some challenges around e-lodging attachments.

All supporting documentation for e-lodged applications however should be uploaded through the e-lodge system as they will be automatically filed and linked to your case.

Attachments forwarded by other means have been known to go astray causing delays in the finalisation of the application. Please ensure that you are familiar with the advice around attachments on the DIAC website.

NOTE: The only documents that should be mailed/emailed to processing centers are those specifically requested by the case officer.

  4. A list of the names of the current case officers might be a good idea, this way if we do get an reply with a name, we can at least see if this person is a CO?

Could you all please share the name of your CO if one has been assigned to you?

  5. Hi Dutchmen may you tell me which centre you lodged? Was it drc or no? And your occupation please?

Lodged at Parramatta on the 20th of June, NON-DRC, Low Risk Country, Project Manager.

I have the feeling that my application has been transferred to Perth because when I asked about its status by email (I emailed Parramatta) The Perth Office responded.

It has been 9 Months since lodgement, come on DIAC hire/train more staff or expand your head count, it not like this is a free service we all paid the 4k fees, imagine the additional revenue of the extra 9000 applications.

$4000 X 9000 = $36,000,000.00 enough to hire some more staff to get processing times back to normal.

  6. So if the perth processing center is currently working the applications lodged on 7 May 2012, how could they possibly catch the 9 months waiting queues? This month they still process the files from May last year, then I reckon they at least need another one month before they would start working on the applications lodge on June, no?

Yet there have been people who lodged their application in late June in perth and have been granted their PR?!?!?

My application was lodged on June 20th and still no CO or response!@!

  7. Hello Guys, got something to share. I have heard that if an applicant owes money to banks or private institutions like mobile service providers, visa will not be granted until or unless the applicant pays the due. How true is it?

It depends if you have a police clearance of the country where you debt is from but it does not mention it, your fine

  8. Almost there...

  9. So its Friday, apparently today CO's will be assigned new cases, lets hope our are one of them (8 Months and 10 days wait).

Has anyone got today's email with the progress for and dates for each of the processing centers, I emailed my self but never get the automated response anymore.

  10. got email said "Attached is a letter requesting you to go offshore to enable finalisation of your 119 visa application"

Pre-decision advice - clients need to be offshore for their visa decision Under the Migration Act 1958 (the Act) and the Migration Regulations 1994 (the

Regulations), to be eligible for the grant of a Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Class AN, Subclass 119) visa, you must be outside Australia at the time the decision maker decides your application.

To enable the department to continue assessing your application, you will need to do the following:

    • arrange departure from Australia within 28 calendar days after you are taken to have received this letter. Please ensure you are aware of the entry and stay requirements for the country you intend to travel to, particularly if it is not your usual country of residence

    • contact the Australian mission you intend to visit to have your visa evidenced to ensure it has visa facilities and to discuss how long you may need to remain in the country to have your application decided and the visa evidenced

    • inform the department of your intended travel dates from and to Australia.

    • inform the department immediately if departure plans are altered

    • do not re-enter Australia until you receive notification that a decision has been made on

    your application.

does it means I can go overseas now???

    Yes

  11. Well according to the auto-response that you get when e-mailing the processing centre (ie. vic.pse@immi.gov.au) the Melbourne PSE office is processing visas from April I think?? But through the forums I've seen peoples' visas lodged in June get approved. I even saw someone's 187 visa that was lodged in late October get approved. So there seems to be some inconsistency .... but there's so many variables that play a factor as to when each persons' visa is processed ... HR or LR country ... on shore or off shore ... decision ready or non-decision ready ... which processing centre .... etc etc. All I know is the DIAC processing times website states "6 months" for the 187 subclass and i'm 2 weeks away from my 6 month point, so I've got my MA on it and hopefully they can put a bit of pressure on DIAC to assign my file to a (nice) CO :)

Yes my visa is an e-visa... 187 is through SkillSelect, which is all electronically lodged. Cheers

    Hi Mate,

I do not want to rain on your parade but you are most likely in for an additional 3 months wait at least.

DIAC is still processing pre July applications, I have already been waiting 8 months now and no CO.

  12. Ok I am clearing it as well why I did not do Onshore is that I had to include my son in my appplication who still offshore for thta i had to do offshore (119) application.Other thing is I did not have knowledge about the processing times as well if I would have known probably I would have done onshore and do another application for son to get here.

Anyone here waiting from April guys??Thanx

    Hi RBP,

I applied Onshore Low Risk RSMS 20th June 2012 at Parramatta and still no CO,

Yet there have been offshore High Risk applications that applied after the 20th June 2012 that already have an CO or got their PR granted.:chatterbox:

So there doesn't seem to be a preferred group of quicker on/off shore applicants.:err:

I imagine a big pile of paper applications and DIAC officers sitting at their desks which are positioned in a circle around the big paper mountain of RSMS applications which is being processed randomly.

  13. That date is for applications who have been allocated to a co, not granted. Some (like mine) are granted within an hour of getting a co. Others can be waiting literally months, especially if they decide to do work place visits or they are from high risk countries.

    Lucky you!

  14. Again, I am just going by what the people answering the phones have said. That each call has to be logged and slows down the other applications. Maybe this is done by the call staff and then sent through to the co who has to review the call log? I don't know, just going by what diac have said.

Hmm let's all relax and not presume anything unless we are certain it's correct. It does not help use 3rd party statements as facts,

  15. Hi all,

I spoke to DIAC earlier this week to inquire about the my case and was told that is would be actioned shortly, when pushing a bit further they said within a month, the wait is getting worse and worse its kinda like an mind **** after a while.

All our lives are currently on hold because if this massive delay in processing.
