  1. Included in the application means those who expect to get a visa at the end of it.
  2. As far as I can tell it means it has been cleared.
  3. Use one of those who post on here. @Raul Senise @wrussell
  4. Congrats on having work already! That must be a great relief. Good luck to your wife.
  5. If anything changes an answer on your application (in this case the one about spending time living apart) or potentially does, then it is worth adding to the application IMO. Imagine they have a question, it could delay you for 1 month responding and them coming back to it. So yes I would definitely add an update on your plans, why your partner has gone ahead, and that you are in daily contact.
  6. Oh no that is not nice to find. Could you please PM me the name? Thanks Jon
  7. Ha, I must admit I did take a little look at the qualifications needed to become a MARA agent! I do find it very interesting. 1 year course, about $28k in Perth. It is slightly tempting. I sometimes regret not studying law! To be fair thought it doesn't pay as well as what I do now, so it would be a hard sell!
  8. I should have put a comma in... You can be granted the 100 straight away if you have with your partner for 3 years, or 2 years if you have children together.
  9. You can be granted the 100 straight away if you have with your partner for 3 years or 2 years and have children together.
  10. This is a very good point. You need some equity and a decent income - if you can earn a good income in Sydney as in London call it $200k + and take $500k of equity with you then I'm sure it is doable. Have $200k of equity and earn $100k and really you will be living way inland somewhere. Might be lovely, but not the dream of short commute and living near the beach.
  11. When the job market is tight, many CV's have to be filtered somehow, and small margins can be the difference between an interview and not.
  12. Obviously I understated the number of times I checked my immi account to make it see a little less insane.
  13. I received the 100 email in the same minute as the 309 one.
  14. Yes I got 100 at the same time, married 12 years 2 kids. As long as you show evidence for the long relationship you will be fine. If they don't grant it then query as you clearly meet the requirements - some people I have read asked and then it was granted.
  15. There must a stages of international migration which everyone goes through: We should make a flow chart Idea > dismissal > renewed enthusiasm > practicalities > terror > renewed enthusiam > never-ending documentation > wince in pain at application fee > ITS IN! > Panic about what you missed > find obscure PIO posts about thing you missed > Update application > Worry > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > Request for Information! > relief they didn't lose your application > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > lose will to live > start looking into Candadian immigration again > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > check immi account > think Guatemala looks appealing > check immi account > check immi account > GRANT!!! > Oh sweet Jesus what the **** have I done > Panic > Panic > calming session updating planning spreadsheet.... etc.
  16. If you look in the London thread you will see most recent timings - no guarantees but most far less than the global times. Mine took about 8 months, others have been quicker, others a bit slower.
  17. Definitely get your citizenship; Important point to note is that if you apply as spouse of a British Citizen (and only then) you do NOT have to intend to stay in the UK. Everyone else must intend to stay to apply, but this is not the case for partners. You know if you don't do it and want to come back it will cost a hell of a lot more than £1300 to get back in. Leeches is right!
  18. If you are married you only need 3 years in the UK, and you don't have to intend to stay in the UK either. Worth thinking about if you are thinking of moving only 6 months before then.
  19. I would seriously suggest you get naturalised as a British Citizen before you move as it will only get harder and more expensive.
  20. Your child will qualify for citizenship by descent, which is a pretty straightforward process. As far I being pregnant is not a question anywhere, but if you were waiting for the visa and had a baby you would update your application to say so, attached copy birth certificate as this obviously adds weight to your relationship, and depending on how long you have been together might help you get the 100 straight away (between 2-3 years).
  21. Grant. You apply and it is granted, not automatic like Birth.
