We are also in team 2... They might be on one of them team building trips, were there all playing around in the bush and pulling each other out of muddy puddles...:err:

I don't think it's the CO's fault, it's whatever is going on at HOC in Sydney. They must be back logged and/or don't have enough doctors to look at the medicals that have been referred. Our meds are probably sitting in a pile on a desk somewhere waiting to be approved.

I am also in Team 2, we had our meds on the 25th June, mine and my three children all changed to finalised three days later, but my wife's was "referred" yet we have all the hard copies from the doctors stating we are all in good health, From the start of this process to now i have developed huge amounts of patience after dealing with TRA, SS WA and now dealing with co!!!. I tell myself every night not to go through the same old rigmarole tomorrow and leave the lap top alone!! but at 5.45am every morning i spring out of bed and race down stairs only to be disappointed again, its a great way to start your working day!!!!!:arghh:

(By the way well done to all the successful applicants).

I know what you mean, I to wake up and run to the computer to check the NON progress, And i bet you that i will wake up 2moro and Sunday about 6ish and the first thing i do is run straight to the computer like a child running after the ice cream van to check the non movement of the visa progress, And me knowing full well that they dont work Sundays... Or even work at 3am in the morning there time when im checking it again in the day time.. BUT I will keep doing it...

I tried the reverse psychology method this morning by saying to myself "I hope this visa never gets granted" and yet when i checked it made not a bit of difference

so like you i have lined up a night with my "Stella Artois" at least I can rely on them!.

Ok it has taken since my grant on Wednesday for me to finally sleep through the night at last, fab!:ssign19: Bigging it up for some more grants for our May people this week, come on diac :angel_happy_face_ha:hug:

It was the same for me. It took a few days for the anxiety and expectancy to wear off. Now I feel so much less tired in the mornings than I did.

Let's hope the rest of the May crew and Nishi see grants this week!!

Yep - I agree - Good luck to our remaining team members for this week. I will do my usual "cross everything" human knot.

I actually booked our flights to Perth this weekend - flying out on 29th September, the day before Jars I believe!?

Wow that's great. We are heading out to Brisbane on 2nd November. I am so glad I have a six week break off school to sort everything out over the summer.

Hiya,

We have a company local to us called Travel Australia - booked through them just to be on the safe side - as they are specialists for Oz. It was quite nice because we spent about an hour going through all the options with the girl, before choosing the flight and booking our seats. We get double baggage allowance which is 40kg per person, plus 7kg cabin allowance. Have bought 4 light-weight cases via the tesco offer. We are flying with Singapore Airlines for £1300 which includes £60 booking fee from Travel Australia. Plus I registered with their frequent flyer scheme so will get points which we can put towards internal flights in Oz, or towards my daughters flight out in January. Good times!

Ours was 1246 for two I think from Omega Travel. We reserved online but had to wait until they opened up the shop next morning until it was processed. Singapore are only giving us 30 kilos each because it is a 475 but it's better than 20 kilos I guess. You can take a laptop as well hand luggage and an umbrella as I recall. My son is happy to snail ship his xbox as long as he can carry on his laptop. I could have had China Air or Air Malaysia but decided to go for Singapore as I like the layover in Singapore.

Hi Guys. I am also still waiting on our medicals to be finalized. We did it on 5th of June, was received by HOC on 12th and referred on 21st June 2012. Thats the only thing outstanding. Today, tired of seeing no changes in medical status, called HOC and they told me that due to the huge number of medicals received by them, there will be some delays.

Ours already 5 weeks now and about 4 weeks from the date it was reffered. Staff at HOC said that they are currently processing mediicals reffered from 16th June and to expect upto another 3 weeks of delay.

I believe this will give some of our May members a clear picture who are still waiting on their medicals to be finalized.

Congratulations to all those who received their grants already and hoping that those of us who are waiting, get theirs soon.
