Guest yafetberhe
I submitted my EOI on July 1 with a total points score of 65 (could've been 75 if my IELTS reading mark was 0.5 higher, but that's another story). I've constantly heard and read that with SkillSelect, states choose you for a 190. However, I've also read some threads here that people are continuing to apply for SS despite the introduction of SkillSelect. WA is the most common one I've seen, however NSW cropped up in a few places. I was rejected for Vic SS in June. I'd like to apply for NSW SS. Am I able to right now? I noticed that the NSW website has 190 application forms. Please let me know - I'd really appreciate some clarity on this subject. THANK YOU. lebourvellec
Most states after you lodge your EOI, you then need to apply direct to receive State Nomination. The only state that will chose you without needing to apply to them first seams to be QLD. Therefore yes if you want state nomination from NSW you need to apply and pay the fee. http://www.business.nsw.gov.au/live-and-work-in-nsw/visa-and-migration/skilled-sponsored-migration
