Nick UK
Does anyone know if VETASSESS contact your current employer once you have completed the SRG1 application form as part of your skill assessment process? Anyone who has had experience of this? Thanks
kevin jc
Hello Nick Not sure if my Vetassess experience is relative to yours but they never contacted my previous employers. At the time of my App I was mostly self employed but i do sub contract work and they never got in touch with anyone in my previous employment or referances. Not to sure if anything has changed and also if it is relevent to you, All the best Kev
Nick UK
Thanks Kev. They require a Statutory Declaration which is fine but the form does request contact details for your employer so am interested to know if they tend to use them. nycplanner
They never contacted my employer (although he's known since day 1 about this so I wouldn't have cared if they had contacted him) but it's not unheard of, at least from what I've read on here. atmeco9
Hi Nick The same here, they never contacted my employer either, he also new i was trying to emigrate from the start tho. i think they just take the number incase theres a problem down the line, i cant see why they would have too, it's just a test to prove your trade skills, they might contact them if you were borderline on passing the tests to discuss your skills. good luck Guy
Arabidopsis
Hi Nick, I had an issue with my employer support letter (was missing a few details) so they sent my boss an e-mail directly asking him to fill in the gaps.I guess as long as you don't give them a reason to,they shouldn't. Nick UK
Thanks everyone. This is now resolved with VETASSESS who have allowed me to omit any employer contact information. Thanks for all your replies.
