Will we need an RRV for a two week trip back to the UK?

Our visa was Granted Feb 2010 , if we have a short trip back to the UK returning before the five years is up, will we need an RRV? Also we intend to apply for Citizenship 1st July 2014 then trip back to UK October 2014, assuming our Citizenship hasn't come through by then, will it have any implications if we were out of the country when it was granted? BIL is getting married bloody awkward timing :biglaugh:

You won't need a RRV if you are returning within the first 5 years. Yor initial PR covers you for coming and going during that time.

As for Citizenship...you need to attend a Citizenship ceremony, so it can't be granted if you are away travelling. This isn't an issue though, as long as you have thr RRV. If it was granted and you were overseas (you attend a ceremony at an Australian mission for example - don't even know if you can do that!) then you would need to apply for an Australian Passport to re-enter Oz, becuase all your visas are cancelled! BUT...it can't be granted without you going to that ceremony..which is the very last bit of the Citizenship process.

No because you aren't actually a citizen until you have your ceremony. As long as you arrive back in Australia before your visa expiry date you will be fine.
