funkyashbash Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 Hello folks, my names Ashley. I'm a 25 year old, 3 year experienced mental health nurse from Glasgow. I've been giving this amazing opportunity to work in Melbourne for at least 2 years. I'm naturally apprehensive and scared making the big move myself so i would welcome anybody in my similar situation or who has made the move. I'm planning to move in June, as my sister is getting married at the end of may. I've told my employer this is when I'm aiming to make the move therefore I have a rough start date sometime in June. I visited Melbourne myself in march 2012 for a month. I loved the city, met the most lovely, genuine people and ultimately went for a job interview and was granted a post I would highly appreciate it if anyone could just make me feel welcome, just generally additional support. I'll need to find a place to stay until I find my feet so any ideas or recommendations are welcome folks. I'm young, love life and a party animal at heart so I'm always up for coffees and drinks for socialising.
