ksarah
Hello everyone My British hubby is currently applying for a 309/100 Spousal visa and we're having a rather fruitless debate as to whether we ALL need to have medicals. The application form seems to indicate that this is the case, but since I'm Australian and our two small children have Australian citizenship by descent + Australian passports I'm somewhat surprised that we would need to do this given that we could, in theory, move back there at anytime (not that we'd ever actually leave our beloved Brit behind). I was hoping someone could provide some clarity on this? Thanks in advance for your help!
Tulip
It's just the applicant. If the kids are on the visa to apply for it too, they have to have it done as well. If they're not included on the visa whatsoever, they don't have to have it done, as they aren't applying for it. I'm pretty sure but check with your CO when they're assigned. You'll have three months before you can take it anyway so plenty of time to ask.
movingbacktoaus
It's just the Brits who need the medical not the Aussies. I'm 100% sure of this.
Rupert
Agree, you and the children are not on the application so you don't need medicals.
Sammy1
Aussie citizens do not have to do the medical.
