amitk0703
Hi All, I have submitted EOI and expect an invitation pretty soon. I have included my wife and son in the EOI as well. I was married in 2007 and do not have marriage certificate. I have a receipt from the Temple administration and a declaration on a stamp paper about my marriage on the same date. The stamp paper was also notarized with couple of witness on it. So my questions is, will this be enough or I have to get a marriage certificate? Thanks Amit
gumster
I was asked to provide my first marriage cert & no longer had it so I just applied online & got 24hr delivery for about £23.
amitk0703
That was real quick but in India it might take upto two weeks.
Quinkla
I would be fairly sure you would need a marriage certificate. Indian documentation doesn't have a great deal of security at the best of times, and simply having a notarized statement is unlikely to cut it. Is there a way to get the process speeded up. I got the impression when I was on holiday in India that many bureaucratic processes could be got around when people had the will to do so.
