sugars888
Hello, I am from Canada starting my Master's program at Curtin University. I am looking for a shared rental in Perth but unfortunately most of the rental ads are on Gumtree. I cannot view the phone number of the people who placed the ads because am not in Australia. I wondering if anyone in Australia can give me the phone number on each ad. If I can send the links privately to someone that would be great. I just need the phone numbers of the person who posted each ad so I can contact them. Am desperate, I will arrive in Perth on Feb 19th and still haven't found a place to stay. Thank you do much
skippy79
you probably won't have a chance not being in the country. maybe book a hostel/hotel for a week and try getting something then, I think you'll have alot more chance, having an OZ number and being able to go and view the place same day/week. Guest
Agree with the above. Stay in a hostel for a week or two and look when you are here. Also contact the uni and see if they have a list or can help with accommodation.
starlight7
You really do need to be here in person- you need to really check out who you will be sharing with in person, not just on the phone. There are some strange ones out there....
Johndoe
Also, be very aware that Gumtree is notorious for scammers with regards to rentals................pay nothing up front for any ad, anywhere, until you have met the agent.
Skani
Australian universities have Accommodation Offices to assist with both on and off-campus living. Have you contacted Curtin's?
