North to South
Hi, i am sure the answer is no, but just wanted to ask...... We have kept one of the tiers of our wedding cake for sentimental reasons and while we'd never eat it again we want to keep it, and I just wondered whether we would be allowed to bring this with us when we move? Any comments would be appreciated before it ends up in the bin.... thanks, Rich
Londongal76
I read that anything where fruit and nuts have been cooked in, is fine for import.
blossom
I would be very surprised if you could, but who knows. Try looking on the aqis website.
MaggieMay24
I think it would be ok. But definitely make sure to declare it and if possible, have a list of ingredients in case they want to know what's in it.
Ozmaniac
You'll be able to bring it but you must declare it. Bring the recipe with you in case quarantine officers want to check (though it's unlikely they will). http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/travel/cant-take Arriving in Australia - Declare it! Guest
I'd bring it in luggage when you fly, not in shipping. But that isn't based on any fact I know, just that I prefer to take my chances with food in person at the airport, not clearing a port in a container. thombatt
If I was a customs officer I'd confiscate it and eat it after you had gone lol
