Guest Guest 47403
Just a general query regarding kindergarten and school admissions, has anyone experienced long waiting lists even when you live within the catchement area? Thanks
calNgary
Im not in Victoria but here the waiting lists seem to be more for the Government funded Kindys. Most of the private kindys dont seem to have waiting lists. Hopefully someone familiar with down there will know and post soon. Cal x
Petkula73
Depends on the area, the time of year and what you're looking for really (full time day care, kinder etc). If it's private, the best places fill up quickly and be warned, they are very, very expensive...

Petals
I think its changed this year and in Victoria they have a list you have to put your name on at the council which means that people may not get the kinder of their choice anymore, depends on which one is allocated to people. Not popular but why do anything popular after all its government local State or Federal.
