My fiance has just been laid off at work - been in the same job for 18 months or so, but without a proper contract. There may be more work in January, but for now we don't know. Has this just blown all our chances of him sponsoring me? We were hoping to put in our PMV application in January. Anyone out there been through the same or similar? Another job and two years possible wait will really mess everything up as I was hoping to take voluntary redundancy in the spring...... HELP! Unlike the UK, Australia has no hard and fast rules about how much the sponsor must be earning. I'm sure when you speak to Go Matilda, they'll set your mind at ease.
