I I need to chase them up as I don't have any of the payslips or even details on a bank account showing pay from them as this is over 5 years ago.. Do the government store this and could provide me something to prove I was employed for them? Send me it in the post or even anyway I could access it online etc... supercow Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Contrary to what I believed before, the HMRC is actually quite efficient once you get hold of them and they will be able to send it to you. I believe you'll just need to have them certified as part of your application process. The number I've used for them in the past (189 evidence infact) is 0300 2003310. You’ll need your NI number and then they’ll go through date of birth and address etc as a security routine. I would never ring them on Mondays though, and you may be on hold for a little while.
