Northernpommy
Congrats to those that have been approved. WOW Jon, that was quick. !! I wonder why they dont work in date order and pick some applications that are recent when others have been waiting for ages. Which office did you apply through Jon. Our timeline: Nomination and 186 transition stream DR using MA submitted 28/7/13 - all medicals/police checks etc sent with application Nothing heard. We cant chase as we went through MA (big regret with that one but thats another story). Fingers crossed for an early approval. Congratz jon203! Did you submit the Form 80? I have filled up similar questions of Character assessment when doing the electronic visa application online. I wonder if the Form 80 is still required in this scenario? Thanks. oppyddrum
That is awesome mate! what office did you lodge your application at? Hi All,I got my PR granted today - im ecstatic! Timeline:- Nomination submitted - 19/06/13 Visa type :- ENS Direct Entry (Engineering Technologist) - No MA used for either application or nomination Application submitted - 08/08/2013 Nomination Approved :- 27/08/2013 Visa Granted:- 27/08/2013 Can't believe how quick it was - just goes to show no need to use MA's as they don't speed it up if you know what you're doing! Yes, with "no MA" I mean I didn't use a "Migration Agent". With "Decision Ready" I mean I attached every relevant document according to this checklist, then I also attached that checklist with the corresponding boxes ticked as "decision ready / checklist" document... or something like that. I cannot confirm the exact document type now because I can't get into the system anymore with my TRN! (w00t)

I actually have attached every relevant document that required, but I did not attached the checklist with the corresponding boxes ticked as "decision ready / checklist" document. I will do it now! One more question for you filippoit. Under "Character requirements" of the checklist, I have ticked the first box which is the police good conduct certificate. But the second check box is "completed Form 80 ...". Did you leave it uncheck as you mentioned no Form 80? Thanks.

To be honest I used an old version of that checklist, the one with "Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186), July 2012" at the bottom of every page. In that checklist there is no mention of the form 80. I attached the checklist I am referring to: 186-applicant-checklist.pdf 186-applicant-checklist.pdf

However, I attached the latest version of the checklist and left the form 80 box uncheck. I have attached the police clearance check certificates. See how it goes. Good luck to everyone is waiting and so do I.

Isabelt28
Oh Chaz, that doesn't fill me with confidence! 2 months to have the nomination approved, with a DRC! That seems like ages....

Hi Isabel, It did seem like eons but just buried myself in work and kept busy so did not seem that long. I wasn't expecting it as the ens applications were taking long to be approved. Anyhow, wait, wait and wait is all we can do, I guess. Good luck to all of us. There is hope :-)
Isabelt28
When u lodged in June, did you have everything done? Medicals, police checks etc....?
Chaz06013
Yes, everything was done and uploaded upfront with both applications. Don't know how long the visa grant will take to come, probably another two months maybe:-(
bonza2211
Guys how exactly are you doing your medicals if a an MA lodged the eVisa? I'm being told I need a specific referral letter from the CO at Medibank and that just my TRN wont do.
Isabelt28
Hi, I just booked the medical online with Medibank. Didn't even have a TRN, just paid and turned up with the relevant forms conpleted. They sent me the results in a sealed envelope and I scanned that and sent it to the MA. Chaz06013
Yeah, booked me and family's & paid online even before the application process. Just have to fill in the relevant forms prior to attending the medicals. The results were sent by Medibank to Global Health so never saw them. However, had to forward copy of tax invoice to agent to link medicals with application.
hopingfordbest
Hi Guys, I've been watching this forum from the past couple of months, and guess its time for me to update my timeline. Nomination submitted: 31/05/2013 Nomination granted: Pending Positive skills assessment: 03/04/2013 as a Marketing Specialist Visa application (DR through MA): 03/06/2013 Visa grant: Pending CO allocated : 17/08/2013 Stream : Direct Entry Initially, I was on a 457 visa for 15 months but the company got shut down as they lost the whole contract/business. After having spoken to my MA, I've been told that the CO is going to request for some further information despite the fact that its a DR application. I have already uploaded all the documents. Really nervous and trying to stay very positive. Fingers crossed.... Good luck to everyone else waiting x Edited September 3, 2013 by hopingfordbest
MAX007
Initially, I was on a 457 visa for 15 months but the company got shut down as they lost the whole contract/business. Hi, sorry but, did u lodge the application before or after the Company got shut down??
Isabelt28
I was also confused about the post? If the application was DR, why were you uploading docs, surely the MA would have done that?
hopingfordbest
I lodged it after the company got shut down. I was with the same company for over 5 years, then went on 457 and happened to stay on that visa for 15 months. Now, I have lodged the ENS under Direct Entry with the new employer having my newborn son and wife as the secondary applicants.
hopingfordbest
I am sorry, I meant my MA frontloaded all the documents. Sorry about the confusion....
