Does the apply to my defacto partner who has been on my subclass for the last 2.5 years and also what is the deal with my 4 month old son who was born here. My parter and son are all part of my current ENS application . Any advice would be really helpfull. thanks in advance

kakao186
Hi all, I have been following your posted timelines and wanted to share mine as well: ENS 186 transition DRC with MA lodged to Perth Office Electronics Engineer with one dependent spouse (Engineer as well) Nomination and Application lodged on the same day: 30/08/2013 Nomination Approved: 18/09/2013 Visa grant: N/A Don't know if we have a CO assigned. Is there a way to find out? Happy waiting to all, feels like endless.
JackieO
Thought I'd share my timeline. ENS 186 transition lodged to Sydney Office Software Developer (Analyst Developer) with spouse and 2 kids, 1 with T1 Diabetes. Nomination lodged: 08/2013 Nomination Approved: 18/06/2013 (10 MONTHS!!!) Visa Lodged: 22/06/2013 (Minus medical, form 80 and PCC) Case Officer: 04/09/2013 - Request for further in info (Medicals, PCC, Form 80) Medicals done 30/09/2013 Had to request an extension due to delay with PCC - extension granted till 24/10/2013 Final PCC submitted: 23/10/2013 Visa Granted: 25/10/2013 I'm sure it would have been much quicker to lodge our application at the same time as the nomination, but with all the July 2012 changes we were reluctant to do so in case there was a problem with the nomination. Petkula73
Nomination and Application lodged on the same day: 30/08/2013 Nomination Approved: 18/09/2013 Visa grant: N/A Don't know if we have a CO assigned. Is there a way to find out? 19 days to get the nomination approved is really quick. Someone please correct me here as I am probably wrong, but wouldn't the CO normally approve the nomination? If so, then I think they would normally deal with the application at the same time, if one has been submitted. Looks like Perth and Sydney are a lot faster than Melbourne! Best city in Australia, but seems like the slowest immigration office...
cjmwlove
Hey guys just an update, we got granted PR today  Our visa was lodged on the 28th June the temporary transition scheme and with our medicals and police checks already done beforehand. We did it through a migrant agent and with the employers nomination going in on the same date, it wasn't sent in as decision ready and it was sent to the Paramatta office. We also wasn't notified of a case officer being allocated we just received the phonecall from our migrant agent at 5.05pm tonight wahoo best phone call to end the day. Good luck to everyone waiting & hope you receive it very soon!

cjmwlove
cjmwlove, congratulations!!! Have you been notified that your nomination has been approved before you got PR today? No we received absolutely nothing and I did ring my agent up chasing it a few times but was told he had not heard anything and if he was to chase up that we would receive a standard letter stating it was still within the 6 month timeframe, it's so worrying hearing nothing at all but such a relief to know it can just come through like that. Petkula73
Quick one - bit of advice please. No case officer yet, but getting all the paperwork in order. My wife has made an error on her Form 80. Is she best to cross this out and submit the corrected form as is, or start a new one from scratch? My thinking here is that we submit the corrected one and the CO can then ask for a new version if required. Is this a bad idea? Is it better to just bite the bullet and complete a new one now? No MA or DRC.

Russ2013
Dear all my friends, I am a regular follower of this forum. Just want to share my story with you. I have used a very unfaithful immigration lawyer and now I am suffering.I have applied my nomination and visa for 186 direct entry at 25th of June 2013 Sydney,Parametta office. Then my case officer assigned on 28th of august 2013,and after that 4th of September 2013 Case officer asked me for few documents through my lawyer. I have supplied what my lawyer asked me for and waiting for the result. Now suddenly after 2 months my idiot lawyer call me today, and told me to do police clearance, medical and form 80,these things were asked same day as 04/09/2013 but my lawyer did not tell me. And I just have 5 days left to do it. I did have provided medical and police clearance earlier with my application(old one). Now I wonder why my lawyer did not give me the proper information that I need to do new police clearance and medical ?Guys, Be careful with your lawyer, sometime they do play with you and you suffer. Pray for me so that I get all done with in this 5 days and can give you a good news soon.
kakao186
Are you still waiting Kakao186..? Hi burmtra, yes I am still waiting. No news. I also thought that if nomination and visa application gets lodged as DRC on the same day then we should have the same case officer assigned to assess both applications. Therefore it shouldn't take too long after the nomination had been approved to also approve the visa application. However, it's been 6 weeks now since the nomination had been approved and we haven't heard anything since. I even read on the immi website that the majority of DRC ENS 186 transition applications get approved within 4 weeks after a case officer has been allocated. So either our case officer was not allocated to our application straight after he did the nomination or we are not within the majority of cases. http://www.immi.gov.au/gateways/agents/pdf/faq-ens-rsms.pdf Cheers Edited October 31, 2013 by kakao186
