I have an update for you.. on 16th November the case office requested a medical and criminal record check for my non-migrating partner and son. We submitted all the docs today.. Even if not migrating, all dependents must be included in the application. You don't pay the application fee for them, and they will not be given a visa, but they must complete the medicals and police checks.
