I honestly did not even know about this forum until I past like 8 months wait or so and I was looking for answers. There will be heaps of people getting approvals without posting it on here I assume they will try to approve as many as possible within the next month. The same happened last federal election. Visas are getting processed in the last few days in this forum there has been a few grants.... also good to mention that this forum is just a very small sample or all the 186 applications being processed/granted. You are still within the time frame as am I - I know everyone wants the visa but you need to be patient - there are many people waiting and some from 2017 that do not make as much noise. Sit tight and you know what they say....... Good things come to those that wait 4 2

There were some notices a while back saying to disregard any notifications around health examinations if they had already been completed. However, if you are unsure, pleas check with a registered and reputable MA. Thanks @BB88.

Suusz
Hi all, I have a question. I am going to Europe in 6 weeks for a 6 weeks trip. I was wondering if they request any medical update while being overseas, would it be possible to do this overseas? BUPA is an international company right? I cancelled my holidays last year because of the extended waiting time, but don’t want to do this again. However it makes me feel uncomfortable that they could request for additional information while I am gone.

Unfortunately - I don't know the answer but am intrigued. My best suggestion, would be to call up BUPA and ask for confirmation on this - I would suspect there'd be no issues, but still - rather safe than sorry.

Yes it is possible, there is a list on the immi website with all the accredited medical centres across the world. In Europe there should be one or two per country. I did my medicals in Italy for my first visa.

Kaaaaaaaaate
Finally got all my docs together to hit submit today, thanks to all the advice in this thread - thanks to the contributors! Still waiting on a police clearance, but perhaps they won't ask for it seeing as I haven't returned to my country since arriving on my original 457. Good luck everyone 2

b055
Hi Everyone. I am a general practitioner with specialist registration in WA. I work in regional Australia in respect to the regional postcodes. I wanted to know if it is better to apply for the subclass 186 or 187 visa via the TRT stream? Which one is statistically quicker? Does my occupation change anything? I found this document online, does this help? https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/davidcoleman/Pages/new-funding-attract-migrants-regional-aus-20190208.aspx I appreciate any answers you can give me. Kind Regards

As soon as you lodge your 186 application, you are entitled to Medicare and you are no longer entitled to claim the exemption from the Medicare levy. In my case, I applied for my 186 in Oct (2013) and it was approved a few months later. I didn't apply for Medicare until the 186 was granted. When I requested the exemption certificate for the Medicare levy, it was only given up to the date I submitted the 186 application, even though I didn't actually apply for Medicare until a few months later. 2

Bamboo
Hi Everyone, I'm a silent reader. Today, I receive a golden email. I'm very happy now. Good luck to everyone. Regarding the Licensing and Registration - Evidence required. You just need to provide them your registration number. For example, CPA membership number.

As you may see if you click back a few pages visa grants are coming through randomly, looks like quicker grants are coming through for those applications post SAF Levy which was from 12 August 2018. In recent weeks there has been some grants from 2017 and 2018 (pre SAF levy) It is a case by case basis and I am sure there are a lot of other variables between you and your friends applications - for example character / previous work experience / previous visas held / countries visited etc... there is so much data that could make your applications very different. Also it looks like cooks are a lot slower to process (pre SAF levy) looks like those applications are heavily scrutinized.
