Yelverton
Hi Can anyone in Melbourne tell me what Hawthorn is like as a suburb? My sister is visiting over Christmas and is travelling around a bit and has asked me if Hawthorn is a nice place to stay. I live in Adelaide, don't know Melbourne and have no idea what to tell her! Can anyone help? Thanks
amibovered
Hawthorn is a well regarded suburb, I would have no hesitation in staying there.
bayside
Hawthorn is in the exclusive inner eastern suburbs. It is very affluent and has stunning tree-lined streets. Not heavily multicultural either. Great place to stay and live.

Marisawright
If she's just coming for a holiday, then Hawthorn wouldn't be my pick as a convenient place to stay to see the sights.
