matt796
Hi As our plan is to let our UK property out has anyone had any experience in obtaining permission to let from First Direct when in the UK? Thank you
MetalToby
We did this last year. First Direct said they would give permission to do it for one year. After that we would need to get a buy to let mortgage. They also provided this in writing.
Jd295
Nationwide told me they would give me for up to 3 yr (renewable once), but with the interest penalty I'd be paying 5%. Hoping to pay down rapidly to improve LTV and change to a BTL, but there is something on their site saying you can't change product or supplier when on consent to let? I've approached some expat mortgage providers to see if there any options on the market for expats in Oz, as from what I read - its not easy!
