The Quigleys
Hi my husband has been offered a position with Diona part of the Calibre group in Sydney. What are they like to work for? Thanks in advance for any info.
Marisawright
I think it will be close to a miracle if anyone here can help you with a small specialist company. When considering an employer sponsored visa, do bear in mind that they are temporary, short-term contracts with no guarantee that you'll be able to stay permanently. I don't understand why you mention the fact there is 'no guarantee that you'll be able to stay permanently'?? They didn't ask anything about that.

The OP asked about a company not about whether or not they might be able to stay - Totally irrelevant to what was being asked.

That is the glory of Poms in Oz! Lots of people with lots of knowledge to help the fledgling migrant with issue they might come across!

I disagree, after many years on the forum, one of the most common issues is that people do not understand business sponsored visas and can often be a long way down the process before they do. So, now when we have a member start to make enquiries regarding them, the experienced members start to immediately point out that these visas have massive issues. I was originally a temp visa holder and wouldn't wish that time on anyone.
The Quigleys
Hi if I wanted to know about visas I would have asked. I am fully clued up on the visa situation having lived in Queensland a few years back. My question was regarding a company that’s all!

At least the responses have bumped the post rather than it be left unanswered and lost

As VeryStormy points out, many people don’t realise what they don’t know, so it never hurts to mention. If it doesn’t affect you, you can easily ignore it
Quoll
The MD was interviewed by CEO magazine recently and painted a picture of a fabulous firm to work for but I guess you take all that with a pinch of salt (a quick Google will find it)
