Lucy Colenutt
Hi Everyone, We have applied for our NSW 190 visa on 26th October. We have submitted everything except Medicals and Police Checks (our agent told us not to front load these, the case officer will contact when they are needed) its now been around 3 months and still no CO contact. Is this normal? Thanks Lucy

Lucy Colenutt
I was worried about uploading them ahead as I believe they expire after 12 months, so if there was a delay on visa grant we would have to pay to do them again. Do you know how long it would usually take for CO contact? Thanks Lucy

As you already passed already 3 months. I would recommend you to do the pcc and medical now and upload it. Choice is yours. All the best. If you wait for the CO contact to ask for the same, it will delay your grant by at least a month according to current trends. Some people are waiting more than 2 months after the CO contact because they didn't front load all the docs
ali
Do be aware that if you front load, it will reduce the time in which you have to make your first entry into the country to validate your visa. The first entry is usually 12 months from the date of the PC or medical (which ever was first). There have been cases when first entry has been required within 3 months of grant - an expense you may not want to incur if you're not ready to fully migrate. There is no time benefit of front loading as they just sit there until the co would have requested them. At the same time, there can be major issues with doing so. For example, if there is a delay and grant is made almost a year after them, the dept do not care. The visa holders have to make first entry.
