They have an increased amount of interest from Australian and NZ clients wanting to purchase their product and have sold to several large companies already. They are struggling, however, to support the product or build on sales without someone experienced on the ground. They are aware that I am looking to emigrate to Australia and would like to somehow send me over there to setup a new branch of the business and run the sales and implementation projects over that side of the world. I have product and industry knowledge in the specialist area they operate in and so far they have not been able to employ anyone in Australia that is qualified to do the job (tried and failed). My question is - what, if any, are my options to obtain a visa? key facts: - I'm senior but not yet director level - The company has no Australian business setup yet - The company has a significant investor/shareholder in the form of an Australian company (could be a 482 sponsor?) - My skills are on the MLTSSL Thanks S Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You've got two options: the TSS visa, which is not recommended for a family, and the independent skilled visa. There isn't anything else. The ideal would be for you to get your 189 visa and secure a job offer from your company, preferably with some relocation costs thrown in. From a business viewpoint: The overseas company sponsors you for a TSS visa which would allow you to come to Australia and set up an Australian operation; Once the Australian operation is established and actively operating, it takes over the sponsorship of your TSS visa; Depending on your occupation, in time, the Australian business sponsors you for Permanent Residency. You may also have independent visa options which could alleviate the need for business sponsorship, although this would take more time, so it depends on how quickly the overseas operation wants you to start in Australia. The first post was a general post about the TSS visa and finding a sponsor. This post was a question specific to the fact that we now have a sponsor and the subsequent options we now have based on the specific situation my sponsor is in. This whole process is stressful enough, please don’t attempt to belittle my attempts to reach out to you all for advice as a community. I think the point is that when you get to that degree of specificity, you're beyond the point of being able to get advice on these forums - you need to pay a professional. Since your sponsor will have to engage a migration agent to lead them through the complex process, I suggest that would be the first step, because I'm sure the business will choose the pathway based on what makes most sense for their business. Then it will be up to you to decide whether that pathway suits you enough to accept the position. You are right - I’m going to leave it to the migration agent and sponsor to sort out now. We are a bit further down the line with the process since my original post and looks like we have a solution that will work for all parties.
