DonJake
Hi all, Longtime follower here. Lots of helpful info. I was curious whether anyone has any personal experience with applying for a university program while waiting on a partner visa decision from abroad. Certainly I wouldn't want to confuse my intentions, i.e. wanting a student vs. partner visa. With that said, I imagine an applicant applying for university coursework indicates permanence. Thanks all.

Thanks all. No, it wouldn't. Immigration cares about the permanency of your relationship, not the permanency of your residence in Australia. Thanks On a side note, I was sort of channeling PIC 4009, which states that the partner visa is granted only when the applicant demonstrates an intent to reside in Australia permanently. I don't think it asks you to demonstrate it.
