Craig Colas
Hello, Does anyone know if there are any repercussions or things that would cause us any problems in the future if we went over on a 190 visa but didn't actually live in the state that nominated us? Thanks in advance!
Raul Senise
Potentially yes. Do a search on the forum as this issue has been discussed in detail.
Marisawright
As Raul says, I wouldn't take the chance. Up till now, people have been getting away with flouting the conditions of their 190, but the states are getting very p***** about it and are beginning to get tough. If you're only applying now, then it seems likely they'll have tightened up a LOT by the time you've completed (or not completed!) your residency requirement, and then you'd be in trouble. Craig Colas
Thank you, was just curious. We want to eventually apply for citizenship and have two small children so don't want to be taking any risks at all.
