Ncsmith
HI all I've just been lucky enough to be succesful in gaining a sponsored role in Victoria. The role is with a blue chip company (Internal transfer), and will be transferring over as an electronics technician in medical. We're understandably excited, but i do have nerves in the back of my mind regarding the visas. Does anybody know of visas ever being declined? I have to hand my notice in at work, so wouldnt want o be in a situation where i am jobless in the UK, and then not have Australia to look forward to! Cheers for any info Nath
Quoll
Can you take a career break? The advice is always to wait until you have the visa in your hot clammy little hands. It's only a temporary visa so be sure you have something to go back to.

Cheers for any info Nath Any visa can get refused and the 482 is no exception with quite a high refusal rate. The chance of success will depend on many factors, including the sponsoring company. If the Regulations are met and everything is done properly, there is no reason for refusal. You should not make any irreversible decisions until the visa is approved.

Raul Senise
Under the 482 program, a new nomination and visa application would be required.
