Riff
Hi all, We get married last yr sep in australia. we applied for my partner's spouse on April 2019 offshore in Fiji. Then we came back to aus. After we applied they asked him to do biometric n medical straight away. We thought he has do all when we come back to aus. He has done medical . But Now we realize that we made a mistake . We had to do the biometric it in fiji as we applied offshore. My husband is on protection visa. So he needs BVB every time he goes outside of australia. So we applied for BVB again to go to fiji to do biometric but it got refused. Then we applied again but havent heard anything yet. We already extended 3weeks to do biometric. And it will be finish on 21st of may. We called IMMI , we went there office , no one ia giving us any information. So my question is can he do biometric in australia while he applied offshore? How can he do that?do we need permission from anyone? Or he just go there to do it? We dont have any CO yet. I am going crazy atm. Please help!!! I am getting into depression day by day. Everything seems so hard. No one is helping. Trying to get right information but no one is helping.

The fact your husband is in oz on a Protection Visa, yet chose to leave and apply offshore for a Partner Visa may complicate things. I would speak to a registered agent. Riff
Hi Marisawright, He is on protection visa and go back to his country is not safe for him. Thats why after googled for a month we decided that offshore apply will be best option for us . But we didnt understood that biometric need to be done from the country u applied from. We thought we can do medical n biometric in australia. So without doing that we came back. Then found out cant do it here. We applied for BVB again , no reply yet, calling immi office, running from here to there , no one is giving us any proper information. Its so frustrating. We been through a lot. Thought this way everything will be easy for us. Didnt realize apply for partner visa is not a easy thing.

I realise that, but you should have applied for the partner visa in Australia, not in some random other country. You have made life difficult for yourself. You may be able to withdraw the application and start again, this time apply for the onshore visa. You need to consult a good agent.

Some one told me that if i appy onshore them we have to withdraw the protection visa first then apply onshore. That means he will not have any visa to stay in the country . That means he will be illegal. I didnt want to do anything illegal. So applied offshore. Dont know what will i do. I will consult with an agent. Thanks for your quick reply

Was that person a qualified agent? If not, how do you know that was the truth? I think you really, really need professional help Edited May 20, 2019 by Marisawright

We are not in a situation to spend a lot. Both of us came out from a severe DV relation. We thought together we will make a change in ourlife. As an atheist, I think a reputable migration agent will be much more help than god Edited May 20, 2019 by shaunfreo Adding
