Amy83
Hi there, i am an Australian living in Britain. I have been here for 13 years now. In around 4 years my British boyfriend and I (and our son) are wanting to move back to Perth. Im after some information, (I’m not sure where to start!) on what I have to do for my boyfriend to be able to move with us. I’m assuming he will have to apply for a spouse visa? Any advise on where to start would be much appreciated thanks
Quoll
Your son should be registered as an Australian citizen by descent then you get his Australian passport. Your partner applies for an off shore partner visa 309/100 - given the length is your relationship and the fact you have a child together he would probably get the permanent visa straight off. You will need to pass new regulations in order to become a sponsor. Meanwhile you should get your British citizenship, you never know when you might need it.
Amy83
Thank you for the info. Il look into the visa. I became a British citizen before I came over here. My parents are British so it was easy :)
