shrimpsandbananas
Currently looking into my options for a 190 and I've read so many things on thw immi and vetassess websites I'm now a bit confused - I'm sure I read somewhere that if your degree isn't classed as 'highly relevant' you can then rely on work experience, but I now can't find any mention of that either website. At the moment I'm in Australia on my WHV and would love to be able to stay longer. I currently work as a graphic designer - 5 years experience in the UK; however 2.5 were part time freelance (less than 20hr week) and the other 2.5yrs were full time at a design agency. My degree is in Computer Animation and SFX which I'm sure won't qualify as a 'highly relevant major field of study'. Can anybody advise me? VERYSTORMY
The system for using experience instead of a formal qualification is called Recognition of Prior Learning. It is available for "some" occupations. You situation is complex and I would recommend running it past a good migration agent.
shrimpsandbananas
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll book an appointment with an agent.
