JElliott
New to this but can't find the right info anywhere. Applying for 189 as early childhood teacher Just submitted EoI after successful skills assessment, points total of 75. Is there somewhere of having all points 'confirmed' before lodging Visa? Or is the points breakdown on EoI pretty solid in what it states?

And also work experience can be assessed by AITSL as wel.
VERYSTORMY
At the moment, you won't get an invite for a 189 on 75 points. The minimum is currently 80 and I would not for see that changing until at least July

The points total generated by the EOI system is simply based on the data imputed by the user. If invited to lodge a visa, you will need to substantiate any points claimed with documentation. If the points claimed on the EOI are higher than what is proven for the visa, the application will be refused. Also be mindful that as per the last few invitation rounds, the minimum points requirement for a 189 was 85 points. Even at 85 point only a handful of invitations were given. Hi Raul, How do you see this panning out after the points changes in November? we are hopping to apply for the 190 for Qld when it opens (secondary school teacher)

It depends on what direction the Government takes and then how each State Government implements the changes. State sponsorship is probably more achievable than a 189, unless the number of invitations issued each months increase dramatically.
Jasmine Sallis
Have seen Visas refused because points were not as claimed on initial EOI so it is important to make sure EOI claims are correct.
