Guest Kiki
Hi , I’m currently living with my husban in Australia. His bridging visa runs out soon . He has been in Australia since 2013 , I have been with him since 2015 and moved In with him in 2017 . We recently got married and just found out that I had to tell Centrelink I was in a defecto from 2017 - 2019 . I honestly did not know that I had to tell them . I thought it was only when you get married . I’m on the disability support pension . I still haven’t told Centrelink that I was in a de facto relationship as I didn’t know . We need to apply for a partner visa offshore for my husband . Will this affect his visa will it to a refusal ? Should I tell Centrelink . I’m worried and sick to my stomach. They know I’m married but don’t know about the years when I was in de facto . My payment did increase when I moved in with him as well . Marisawright
To get your partner visa approved, you will need to provide proof of a long-standing relationship and I don't know how you can do that without admitting you have been living as a de facto couple, so that is a big problem. I think you need to hire a good agent.
