Vanessababa
Hi, I hope everyone is ok and staying safe, I submitted my application on the 20th March and it is still showing as "Recieved" on my Immi Account - does anyone know because of COVID19 that there are long delays in processing times? Take care x
CatinAus
Has your citizenship application progressed? The figures published for May show the number of open applications are much lower, I am hoping that this means processing will speed up. Vanessababa
Hi nothing as yet still sitting at received, will be 4 months on July 20th x
CatinAus
Good luck. I hope that it is approved soon. It is really interesting to see that some applications are being pushed through (on a Facebook site, I saw someone had their application approved within 24 hours) yet others are taking much longer. Are you going to apply to travel on a visa whilst waiting for citizenship to be approved?
Vanessababa
When did you submit your application? Cannot believe one was approved within 24 hours!! Lucky them No not travelling anywhere until things have settled down (COVID)
CatinAus
We applied nearly two months ago. When I spoke to the Home Office, I was advised that they were prioritising those without any other citizenship.
Vanessababa
Did you call to the Global Call Centre or a number in London? I spoke to the Global Call Centre and they advised I was still within the 90% time frame and basically told me to just wait, which is understandable. CatinAus
I have spoken with both the GDC and the High Commission. We are concerned that without citizenship we can't send our kids to school.

CatinAus
We will travel on an evisitor visa whilst waiting for citizenship to come through but won't be able to pay international school fees whilst we wait for citizenship.

So which member of your family needs to get citizenship?

Vanessababa
Morning I have received the following email re my application, on my Immi account it is still at "Received" - I have had no messages or requests for additional information, do you think this is progressing all ok? Many thanks in advance x Whilst our operations have reduced capacity during COVID-19, your application is progressing and we will be in contact in due course. Whilst I am unable to advise of specific time-frames given your application is still under initial assessment, the application is progressing. Vanessababa
Hi I received this afternoon a request for police clearance for my time living in Spain, does that mean when submitted that it may be granted or is this simply standard procedure? In my mind was thinking if they are asking for this then everything else will be ok or am I completely wrong? Any help appreciated x
