cbarbuto
Hi everyone. Any advice or knowledge regarding not being able to get into Australia within the 12 months time period of the granting of a partner visa? We planned on resigning and having liquidated assets here in the US and getting on a plane to Australia once and for all just 2 weeks from the expiration of the 12 month period but now seeing all kinds of press about passengers being denied their flights, Australians not being able to get a flight home and cancelled flights. We have out tickets on Nov 22 from LA to Sydney via Fiji. The 12 month since the visa grant is Dec 7. If our flight is cancelled and cant get on one is it all down the toilet and start again? Jon the Hat
They are waiving the 12 month entry requirement at the moment. There is a letter you can request to present at the airport when you board your flight after the 12 months to help you get boarded.
