AlexDunn
Hi first time posting here so I’m not sure if I’ll get much response. Basically soon I’m finishing my bricklaying apprenticeship and getting my qualifications. After that I’m thinking of moving to Brisbane to work. I’ve got some qualifications in plumbing and electrics as well. Basically my question is. Will I be able to find work and a decent wage? Also kinda random but I’ve got tattoos most on my arms but some on my hands. Someone told me that will make it getting a job harder. Idk tho. Anyway, cheers for any response. I'm assuming that you're going to apply for a Working Holiday Visa? That's pretty much the only visa you can get if you're just newly qualified. You shouldn't have any trouble getting labouring jobs at decent pay. Plumbers and electricians have to be licensed in Australia, so you'd only be able to work as an assistant until you can do whatever courses/apprenticeship is necessary to convert. I'm not sure about bricklaying.
AlexDunn
I was born in New Zealand so I’m going to renew my passport. Ok that’s good news. I’ll be a qualified bricklayer and my plumbing and electrics would just be a minor qualification. But anyway I appreciate the feedback thanks for the response.
