Is it a 482 visa (which is just a temporary work contract for a few years), or a 186 visa (which is a permanent visa that lets you migrate to Australia)? A 482 visa can be a fantastic opportunity for an adventure for your family, and it is possible that you might be able to stay permanently after the contract ends -- but it's far from guaranteed, so make sure you understand all the in's and out's of the deal.
