Australian Immigration/Marriage

Hi,

Just looking for some advice.

My fiancé and I are looking to immigrate to Australia middle of next year.
We are already engaged and just wondered if it would make any difference marrying in the UK and being married coming into Australia or would it benefit us in the future with potentially applying for citizenship if we was to marry in Australia.

Any help or guidance you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jamie

Marriage status makes no difference to a citizenship application. If one of you is applying for the visa as the secondary applicant, then you will need to demonstrate the bona fides of your relationship either way.

No, it won't make any difference.

Have you worked out which visa to apply for?
