The average house in Oz is evidently 214 m2 The average house in the UK is 76 m2 I am thinking of a knockdown rebuild as the house we've just bought is a 1950s cottage with historical, but not active termite damage. Most new builds here are massive. So going from the above example, an average Oz house @ $2700 per m2 would cost $578k to build At the average UK size, that is theoretically $205k, however we all know no builder would consider this.
