Shipping lithium batteries

I’ve been told by John mason that absolutely no batteries can be in the shipping container which I completely understand. I do however have 2 e-bike batteries that I want to take with me to me and both are too large capacity to take on the plane with me. Has anyone used a specialist courier to ship batteries from uk to Australia? I also wanted to take power tools that are battery powered. Do people leave the batteries and buy new in Australia for those?

Check that the airline will carry the ebike batteries.  There are rules about how big they can be. 

For the power tools, check that the make and model is available in Australia.

Yeah I’ve confirmed the airline won’t carry the e-bike batteries.

Re: power tools, hubby has just brought his in hand luggage and all ok so far. We are in Vietnam at the moment heading to Singapore. 
he did leave a golf buggy battery that was too heavy/large though. 
Have seen online a company called DG Parcel that may do it - worth checking? We left it too late!
