Hi Helena,

I've been here for just over 3 years and am moving to CBD (Southbank) in 2 weeks time - husband is an Aussie but he's alright in small doses!!

We'd be happy to meet up for a quick drink sometime closer to Xmas is you fancy it.

Also theres a big group of expats who meet most Tuesdays in Gilhooleys bar, Albert Street, City. Next meet is Tues 25th - just turn up, listen out for the accents and then introduce yourself.

Welcome to Aus.

Ashley

Hey ya Ashley,

Nice to hear from you! :jiggy:

How old are you both?

We often walk to southbank, and go to streets beach, its a nice stroll.

We would like to meet up with you anytime, my email is helenaadams@hotmail.co.uk, we are kinda shy at first though, having no chums here and never met anyone! hehe

Also thanks for telling us where all the expats hide! we might have to go see what its all about, do you know the time?

We havnt even been on a night out here, as dont wanna go alone

We been Kings Beach again today at Calundra, its nice but high winds today!

What brings the move to Southbank may I ask?

Have a great day, hope to chat again soon

xx:yes:

maybe a pio meet up at southbank one of the weeks would be a good idea, put some of the faces to the names, we have kids too, so nights out are a no no.

Hi all.

The wife and I are in the same position as lots of people on here! we moved to Australia back in November and spent 3 months in Melbourne. We came to Brisbane and decided to stay here. we're renting in Connon Hill and life is great but finding it really hard meeting people.

My wife is 26 years old and I'm 27 with no kids. if anyone fancies meeting up for a few drinks, bite to eat in the city anytime!?
