Hi,

I am a Brummie Psych Nurse living on the Gold Coast, I arrived in June last year and am working at Robina Hospital. My wife (Linda) and dogs arrived in November, Linda has yet to find work.

Despite 'putting ourselves out there,' we have found it difficult to find friends. Are there any Brits out there in the same boat? we would love to meet up with you.

Hi Marty

We're living at Bonogin in the hinterland behing Mudgeeraba and Robina. Been on the Coast since Oct 2007 and in Sydney before that - would be good to catch up - we're a family of 4, husband John is 36, I'm 39, a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 5. It can be hard to get that social circle going, let us know where you are and if you fancy getting together,

Hi Marty

My name is Lesley (aged 37 and 3/4) and I loved your message, we are new to the Gold Coast (5 months in Oz) and felt that we have tried a bit to make some friends but it is not quite as easy as I thought. I dont know when you posted your message, so maybe you have zillions of freinds now and dont want any more but if by chance you have a spare minute maybe you could contact me. My husband is simon who is 36 and we have a great little boy of 20 months called Luca. I started at Bond university in January this year. Simon is not yet working and is a full time day, looking for work.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Lesley

I am Lesley, my hubby Simon and baby (20 months) Luca moved to Arundel a few months ago. I attempted to send a reply to your message a while ago but being new to PIO I think I got it wrong. Well, anyway, we are up for meeting some people local, or maybe you now have zillions of friends in Oz through PIO!!!!!!!!! lol Lesley X

Hi Lesley,

Sorry it's taken soo long to reply, which area are you living in?

Unfortunately Linda has returned to England for a while, she was unable to find work over here and felt that she had unfinished business over there.

Yea it would be good to meet up.

let me know when you are all free.
