Guest naths28 Posted April 16, 2009 Share Posted April 16, 2009 Hi, my names nathan and my partner is catherine,both in our early 30's looking to meet/make some new friends on the northern beaches for socialising,get togethers etc. We live in Dee Why,Sydney and have been here 8 months now.we are both from england originally and we are over here on a 4 year visa.im (nathan) an electrician and catherines a nurse in manly. We are always happy to meet new people as it can get lonely over here even though we are loving living in Sydney! If you want to arrange a gathering we would be happy to come along. I think if we didnt live in Dee Why our second choice would be narrabeen,but to be truthfull where we live in Dee Why is great. A quiet little street,2 minutes from the beach,and nice restaurants.Theres also a great little bar on the beachfront called Deck bar which has live music every night,,,nice.. So when are you thinking of moving to the northern beaches?? Would be great to meet up with some fellow brits,whenever your around here,or have moved here. Hopefully see you both soon. We currently live in Cremorne but are looking to move further up to the Northern Beaches too. I work in Frenchs Forest so will be great for me although my friends at work have warned me off of DY and when we visited for a day there were drug deals going on in broad daylight but I have also heard there are nicer areas in DY and I have been to the RSL it's great there. Would always love to meet similar minded people to us. My Hubby is a civil engineer and I am a Call Centre Manager. June 6th sounds good. we've been here 4 months now and loving it. beginning to feel pretty settled but getting the social scene going is becoming more important now that we've found our feet. stefanie and steven, if you've only been here 5 weeks and want to do something sooner then June 6th then let one of us know and we'd be happy to meet up. we're pretty busy this weekend as I've a mate staying with us from home, but anytime after that. If anyone plays soccer and is looking for a game (decent way to meet some people and loads of the girls come down to watch aswell so good way of meeting couples - all late 20's to late 30's) then let me know and you can always come training with me on a tuesday night and see what you think. we generally try and do something different most weekends although the weather is unfortunately a little cooler now. probably means more time spent in deck23 or dee why rsl I should imagine! Hi all, see you next sat,reg who we are..me (nathan)im just under 6ft, got shoulder length hair, and stubble(like everyone on the northern beaches,haha),and catherine is 5.10 and has shoulder length blonde hair.we will wait to the left of the bar.
