We are desperate to try and meet new friends to try and settle, loving Brisbane but feeling a bit homesick because we are missing friends and family a bit. Feeling quite alone just now but know it takes a bit of time to meet new people. My partner and I (32,34) have just moved here. We have a 12 yr old son, who is living with his Nana in NZ, while finishing off the school year and he will move over after Xmas. My boyfriend Patrick and I (34, 31) moved to Brissie in March and are moving into a house in Hillcrest (near Browns Plains) next week. Got our own pool - woo! Didn't have one of them in our flat in London! Anyone fancies meeting up, happy to have a few drinks and meet some new people. Big into scuba diving and bush walking if anyone's interested. Me and the hubby really want to get back into diving so would be great to know where you guys go. We have a pool too, can;t beat this life!! Guest RAE3 Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Anyone else been to Greenbank RSL - we went there whilst on holiday in June, it's fab - you couldn't find a place like it here in Scotland. It was just one of the things that sealed our decision in moving to OZ that along with the sun, houses, possibility of job, family, things to do as a family.... the list is endless.
