faisi10
Hey congrats Ruqqya on your visa u must be really happy  Its been 12 months since my hubby applied for his visa. medicals are done also and i think all the other docs too. YEsterday he rang they told that case is still under security checks. i mean its already by 7.5 months since we sent in form 80. How do you know if the medical is cleared? they send u an email? Also Arshad, i saw you on the time line spreadsheet. ur acknoweldgement date is very close to ours. how come they told you that it takes 12-18 months? WHyyyyyy does male applicant take sooooooooo long. crazy AHC :arghh: Missu they will not inform u after medical if in case there is some problem with the results then they will immediately contact u if not then u have to assume that ur medicals are fine...and male applicants have to go through lengthy security checks..im also going through that..14 months since i have applied...so u cant do anything but to wait and pray...best of luck.. faizan
Any one of you got form80 and medical request at the same time and after that security checks started? I got the request of for form 80 after 4 months from the application lodgement. Medical will be the last thing they would ask I reckon. FirstKnight
Any one of you got form80 and medical request at the same time and after that security checks started? If you send the Form 80 with initial documents then after few months they ask for Medicals with additional documents , if u do not send then sometimes they send Medical request and Form 80 request together with Medicals or just Form 80 and Additional documents like MRC,FRC or post marriage contact details . so we never know with AHC they can come up with any kind of strategy we can never assume things with them
faizan
you're right FirstKnight. What I would advice all of the applicants including me is to GO WITH THE FLOW.. we cannot do anything.. we cannot assume anything.. AHC is very unpredictable.. ETP
does anyone of you have any info regarding the travel time after visa grant??? ho wmuch time is usually given for that? and if you want to get the date extended then do they extend it or you have to do only what the label says without any option of any change in condtions nomatter what the consequences are,,???????? i have just received a letter from immigration tht my visa has been granted but they have written that my initial date of entry must be made by 28th of feb 2013.....its so early..its like i have only been given 20 days excluding tomorrow's holiday which is somewhat impossible for me if i send my passport now for visa endorsement then its gonna take around 3 weeks for passport to come back...how will i manage to go then? according to visa conditions, i shd be there by 28th of feb 2013 wch means i must leave by 26th...i am not given any time at alll.....its frustrating..my husband booked tickets to come in march so tht we both can travel back to sydney together by the end of march.....its all messed up now...i have never heard anyone has ever got this less time for initial entry...please help me out...does anyone have any experience of getting the dates changed??? danielleferris
Hi everyone, I know that timelines for processing visas is one of the most popular topics and the one most people are interested in as you just want to have your visa in your hand and start your new life with your partner in Australia! There are so many factors that come into the mix when we talk about processing times for partner or prospective marriage visas. The best place to start is to look at the Department of Immigration website as they advertise their client service charter there and within that document there are processing time service standards. Partner visas lodged offshore and onshore have different processing times, whether the visa applicant is from a high-risk or low-risk country affects processing times, second-stage spouse visas also have varying processing times. In my experience most of my prospective marriage and marriage visas are finalised in 6-7 months, however, we have had just recently an onshore first-stage spouse visa lodged just before Christmas finalised in about 4 weeks! Each case is unique, the trick is to have a fully front-loaded application with all of the evidence easily presented and explained and to tell your story and back it up with sufficient evidence. If you can provide strong evidence that you meet the migration law, regulations and policy for the grant of a spouse visa application that is what you need to focus on pulling together and telling your story to the Department of Immigration backed up with the evidence to prove it. Essentially, the Department of Immigration are assessing whether or not you and your partner have a 'genuine and continuing relationship' and they look at four broad categories: financial aspects;the nature of the household; social context of the relationship; and the nature of your commitment to each other. If you can provide solid evidence in all these four categories, the fact you had a 'secret registry marriage' should not hinder you. Please do not take my post as professional migration advice, purely information for you to consider. Y You can look at the Department of Immigration website for further information or contact a registered migration agent like myself to get professional migratiion advice and asssistance from a suitably qualified and experienced immigration law specialist. All the best to you and your partner for your big day and the visa process. I would love to help if you wish to PM me. thanks and regards, Danielle Ferris All Australian Visas Registered Migration Registration Number: 0955608
