Had a busy week sorting out jobs/schools/rental etc and about to catch our breath and settle in Narre Warren South. We are just up the road in cranbourne east and my twin girls 9 go to Lynbrook school. I work tuesdays and wednesdays but am free the other days or there are a few families heading to the Berwick show next weekend if you fancy it? bryansc Posted February 21, 2010 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Hi everyone. We are a family of 5, I am 46, OH is 43 our children are 16(Sarah), Steven (14) and Callum (8). We received our visas in December and are going to validate by going to Melbourne at the end of June for 2 weeks. We are considering Ocean Grove, Torquay (or thereabouts) for the holiday but we are also considering Florintine Villas (closer to Melbourne). Does anyone have any suggestions as to where would be the best option (we have relatives who live in Geelong area - but it is very expensive there!!). Would anyone have children who are around the same age as my children (especially the 16 year old who doesnt want to go to Australia, but we who could possibly meet up for a chat at some stage and maybe change her mind.) We are trying to be cunning by bringing Sarah out for a holiday and hope she falls in love with the place!!!!! (we can dream), but its worth a go. I have already spoken to people on this and another forum, who are willing to get their children/relatives to contact her on Facebook etc. but she is not interested - that is why we were hoping to get her to talk with someone her own age face to face when we get to Australia. I am so glad you love Australia, I'm sure it was hard for you to go in the first place (but it seems to have worked for you).
