Dear all,

Has anyone applied for a ENS 121 and not had a skills assessment and applied under the exemption from eligibilty requirements?

My OH is a shoemaker (medical) and there is no professional body which covers this occupation in the UK. Even in Oz where you can gain AFQ IV there are hardly any courses so I dont think we can get his skills assessed here or there.

So I wondered if under the following from the DICA ''The position is so unusual or highly specialised that it is unlikely a suitable person with at least three years of post-qualification work experience could be found in Australia or overseas.'' We might be able to get away without having a skill assessment?

Ideas anyone, I know this seems a bit of a long shot but hey ho.

Many thanks

Tina, Family of Five.

Hey!

I had my experience requirement waived myself. I suggest strongly that you get help from an immigration lawyer to help you submit the strongest possible submission to Immigration.

I had my final appointment with the specialist on Monday and he said I am very healthy and he is going to send a good report to immigration for me. Now I'm back to waiting for immigration to give me a decision. I really hope it doesn't take long now, I've been waiting too long!!!

I am almost ready to lodge my 856 application and I am trying to provide as much information as possible and complete every checklist I can find. As I have noticed people on here lodging everything at once I also want to do it that way.

One point I am stuck on is showing evidence of having worked full-time in australia for the last two years and at least the last 12 months with the nominating employer. What info did other applicants supply? Pay slips? Letter from employer? tax info?

I'm so close and have been eligible to apply for 6 weeks but kept getting held up by references from UK, my employer not providing enough info for the nomination and I just want to get in the queue!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Dom

Thanks rahul4200!

It's a lot of payslips but that's all I could think of as well. Hopefully lodge this week and be able to put a timeline up.

Fingers crossed.

Cheers

I think nomination. But if you lodge your nomination and application together the application might get processed at the same time.

Cheers!

Richiko - any news?

Still waiting, my doctor sent off his report yesterday so now I have to wait for the medical officer to make a decision whether I qualify for a visa or not. Hopefully I'll get an answer in the next couple of weeks.

As much as I want my approval, I'm really hoping you get yours first.

Hi All

Just thought I'd update you

Employer Nomination approved 6th April!

I was totally excited until I read the bottom half of the letter in BIG UPPER CASE letters "does not guarantee approval of permanent residency"................of course I knew that really but I came down to earth with a bump and realised we still have a long way to go!

Does anyone know how long the PR application takes now or is it a case of "how long is a piece of string" :)

Thanking you in advance

I lodged my complete DRC application on 10/02/2011 and haven't heard back from DIAC since then. I looked at the spreadsheet and I can see some visa application which were lodged after mine being approved. Has this something to do with my occupation or do they pick application randomly?

Any way I am going as Graphic Designer.

Any thoughts?
